It’s that time of year again when men with children are celebrated for being an inspiration in their lives. These fathers will get to lounge all day, get gifts of new ties and tools and relish in the fact that they are partly responsible for the little human beings running around this earth.
This year I want to publicly celebrate my dad, Nkosi Akinlabi, by introducing you all to him. When fathers were being passed around believe I got the best of the bunch. This guy is all around amazing!
He has had a MAJOR impact in my life because he taught me a ton of what I know and has always encouraged me to be the best me I could possibly be. No topic was ever off limit (even to this day) and he would always tell me the truth, even if it hurt. This never discouraged me but always made me think bigger, bolder, and often outside of the box.
If you know me in real life you know that I get my personality from this guy. And there isn’t anyone I know who hasn’t met him and fallen in love.
